Gwar is a heavy metal band formed in Richmond, VA, in 1984. The band is best known for its elaborate science fiction/horror film inspired costumes, obscene lyrics and graphic stage performances, which feature humorous enactments of politically and morally taboo themes. Their grotesque costumes make them easy to identify, and their science-fiction mythology theme only adds to the band portrayal of them being warriors.

The music of King Crimson is celebrated by a group of musicians that are less "tribute band" more "supergroup"! Steel Panther have taken their parody of '80s glam metal to a whole new level. Through their undying commitment to sleazy lyrics, skin-tight leather, and genuine musical chops, the L.A. band have now reached the same level of fame as a lot of the groups they're aping. They've headlined Wembley and have toured with the likes of Judas Priest and Guns N' Roses.

When it comes to rock, there aren't many greater names than Deep Purple. The British group formed in 1968, and have been bursting eardrums ever since. Alongside fellow Brits Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath they practically defined what we now call 'hard rock' with albums like Machinehead and tracks including 'Smoke on the Water'. Now in 2024 they're returning to the road.
