The roof-raising classic returns to Philadelphia
Join Harry Potter as he enters his fifth year at Hogwarts in this live to film concert, backed by a full orchestra playing Nicolas Hooper's magical score as the adventure plays out on a huge screen. So grab your cloaks and brooms and prepare for the Boy Who Lived's most epic adventure yet presented in unforgettable style.
Needing almost no introduction, multiple Grammy-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma is unarguably one of classical music's biggest star. The virtuoso performs all over the world to sold-out houses and remains one of the best-selling recording artists in the classical field. His versatility, energy, and pure love of creating and performing exquisite music make him a favorite for audiences of all ages.
No season is complete without a rousing performance of Carl Orff's lustful and triumphant Carmina Burana and its showstopping O Fortuna chorus. Conductor and Grammy winner (and perfumer!) Fabio Luisi conducts the Philadelphia Orchestra through this roof-raising piece, joined by the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Boys Choir and Philadelphia Girls Choir, as well as soprano Audrey Luna, tenor Sunnyboy Dladla and baritone Sean Michael Plumb.
